KUALA LUMPUR (Dec 04) — Nestle Malaysia and Press Metal Aluminum Holdings will replace British American Tobacco (M) and IJM Corporation in the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI from Dec. 18, following a semi-annual review of the index, index developer FTSE Russell said in a statement.
Inclusion in the benchmark index of Malaysia’s 30 biggest stocks by market cap raises appeal of the constituents to global investors, and the shares are investment prospects for some exchange-traded funds which are mandated to buy only index members.
